For a break from the bustling city life, many find Guilin to be the perfect getaway. As the Chinese poem goes, "Guilin is the most beautiful place in the world, and Yangshuo is the prettiest spot in Guilin." Calm rivers running through karst mountains, fishermen with their loyal cormorants on old-fashioned bamboo rafts, and a gentle morning mist filling the air… With these stunning scenes as everyday sights, Guilin is indeed the last paradise!
Li River Cruise – A great way to enjoy a wonderful moment is to just sit back, relax and take in the superb beauty around you – and this is how to enjoy Li River! Take a morning cruise along the tranquil Li River and watch all the charming landscape float by. While enjoying your lunch and sipping tea or wine on board, you will sail through the natural backdrop of the hills, mountains and riverside villages. With some patience and a little help from the guide, you will be able to find and view the exact mountain scene that is captured on the back of the 20 RMB note (Chinese currency).

Yangshuo – The lively “Foreigners’ Street” is as bustling as Yangshuo gets. The many quaint coffee bars, shops and restaurants have much of the casual, laid-back attitude the surrounding landscape seems to create. Make sure not to miss the local specialty dish, beer fish! You can also rent a bike or hop on the special electric car to explore the picturesque neighboring countryside for the perfect off-the-beaten-path experience. Discover rarely-visited villages and observe local people as they live everyday: farmers working hard in the rice paddies during harvest or growing seasons, buffalos wandering around with children riding their backs, minority ladies weaving or doing housework in the courtyard or in front of their houses. Visit a farmer’s home, a village school or a grocery store to get a closer look at the daily lives of the local people.
Yuzi Paradise – Set in the beautiful and quiet country valley between Guilin and Yangshuo is Yuzi Paradise, covering several hundred acres including 21 mountain hills. The Taiwanese owner of Yuzi built this resort to honor his father’s love of art, so it was originally created without any commercial intentions. Local and international artists were invited to stay in the artists’ village, to create amazing masterpieces after drawing inspiration from the unbeatable natural beauty around them. The art works are well-preserved and are cleverly displayed throughout the resort in both outdoor and indoor settings. This place is not to be missed if you love art or want to temporarily abandon city life!
